About

House-roasted Colombian coffee, a Cuban/Miami family-owned cafeteria feel, and a Delray Beach Design Arts District location off Congress near the Tri Rail station. Cumbres Coffee Roasters Delray was originally GOAT-branded. Beer and wine are on the menu alongside coffee. No artificial sweeteners are stocked. Bring your own Equal if you need it.

The room is cute, cozy, and inviting, with modern aesthetics softened by cozy touches. Intimate. Immaculately clean. Cool minimalist in design.

The drink and food list rewards the Colombian sourcing and the Cuban family hand. The matcha is the non-coffee staple. The banana coffee cake latte is the signature sweet pull. The Morning Luxe Melt is the breakfast sandwich (brie, bacon, egg, fried onions on a croissant) that defines the morning menu. The Mortadella and burrata sandwich is the lunch anchor. The pandebono is the small bread snack that signals the Colombian sourcing. Avocado toast is the safe brunch order.

The regulars are Colombian and Cuban coffee enthusiasts who specifically want the in-shop roasting and the family feel, Tri Rail commuters using the station proximity, dog owners, families, and laptop workers taking advantage of the free strong WiFi and the available outlets.

The honest caveats are short. Seating is limited despite the room's open feel. Parking is genuinely limited despite what some photos suggest. The no-artificial-sweetener policy is small but specific and worth knowing if Equal is part of your standard order.

The open mic and car events are the cultural programming that keeps the room used beyond standard cafe hours, and the beer and wine option means the cafe can extend a coffee meeting into something else without anyone having to relocate. The Morning Luxe Melt, a pandebono on the side, and an in-house Colombian pour is the cafe used the way the family designed it. The Cuban/Miami cafeteria feel is the cultural anchor that makes Cumbres distinct from the standard Delray third-wave room, and the Design Arts District context is the neighborhood that holds the room in place.
