Everything is organic at this Henderson cafe in the 7 Hills neighborhood, down to the ketchup. That commitment runs through the whole operation, from the beans roasted in-house by Andy to the made-from-scratch bakery turning out gluten-free options that taste like something. A hazy IPA on tap sits a few feet from the espresso machine, which tells you most of what you need to know about the place.
The room is homey and relaxed, with a swanky-but-comfortable feel that doesn't tip into pretension. Plants between the tables do the work of dividers, giving each pair of chairs a small pocket of visual privacy.
Order the blended white mocha or the coconut iced coffee if you want the signature drinks. Regular mochas are reliable. The food side punches above what most coffee shops attempt: a proper BLT, a chicken sausage breakfast burrito, a lox bagel, and gluten-free chocolate chip banana bread that celiac diners request by name. A decaf oat milk latte covers the afternoon crowd, and the hazy IPA is there when coffee won't cut it anymore.
The weekly meetup crowd has claimed this place, and business meetings happen here in the late mornings. Service animals only, so leave the pets at home. Weekends after 9 or 10am the room is crammed, and parking is whatever you can find in the small plaza out front. If you're celiac, this is one of the few cafes in the Las Vegas area where the gluten-free chocolate chip banana bread isn't an afterthought sitting under glass for three days. For organic-food eaters, the kitchen's commitment is real, not marketing. Andy's roasting holds up to the ingredient sourcing, which is a harder thing to pull off than the menu lets on. The combination of coffee, beer, scratch bakery, and a full breakfast and lunch menu under one roof is unusual in the suburbs, and the regulars know it.
