Yada Yada sells wine and collectibles next to the coffee bar, which tells you most of what you need to know about how the place sees itself and what kind of regulars it draws. The shop occupies a historic building on Front Street in Cuyahoga Falls and recently swapped spaces with Jenks to expand the seating area, so the room is bigger than it used to be while keeping the gritty, lived-in feel of the original building that drew people in the first place. Books and games sit out for use. There is a lounge feel, a small sidewalk patio, and a dog-friendly attitude that means most afternoons there is a leash tied to one of the patio chairs and nobody minds. The iced lavender matcha with honey is the order. The cold brew has low acidity and no bitter aftertaste, per one regular who orders it daily, and it runs honest. The espresso, on the other hand, has been flagged as needing work, which is worth knowing before you order a straight shot and feel disappointed by what arrives. The front order area can get congested at peak, but the expanded back room gives students and remote workers space to settle in and stay a while. The historic building does the heavy lifting on atmosphere, with interesting decor, plants, and the sense that the room has held a lot of conversations before yours. This is a linger-with-a-book place, a play-a-board-game-with-friends place, and a stop-by-with-the-dog place. It is not a precise-pull-of-espresso place, and the staff would tell you the same if you asked. Order accordingly. Order the matcha. The wine and the collectibles for sale add a layer to what the room can be on a Friday evening, when the operation tilts toward something between a cafe and a small neighborhood gathering.
