1802 Roasters

1802 Roasters is a Filipino-owned, husband-and-wife shop in Cypress Park. It started at farmers markets before opening the storefront. Bagels are baked fresh every morning, and the coffee's roasted on-site under the Code label.

For bagels, try the salt and pepper with cream cheese, the everything, salmon on sesame or chicken salad on onion. The salmon and the chicken salad are the ones regulars keep ordering. The drink menu covers a rose syrup matcha latte, lavender latte, flat white, cold brew and a Code single-origin pour-over. It's mostly espresso and pour-over rather than drip.

Indoor seating is limited, but there's a rear patio and a small parking lot. Wifi's free, and weekdays are usually quiet, which suits laptop work. You'll usually see the owners behind the counter. They'll tell you how the current Code roast tastes before they grind your bag.
