Achilles Coffee Solana Beach

Achilles Coffee is a San Diego specialty roaster with five cafés in the county. The Solana Beach one is a counter with a rooftop deck in a shopping center lot off Highway 101, a short walk from the beach. There's no indoor seating. Saturday mornings bring cyclists, families and dog walkers, and the line can get long.

The breakfast burrito is the order. The Park West sandwich and the French toast are good too. On the drink side, the Irish foam cold brew is the signature, and the flat white and almond milk latte are solid. Rosa, Abraham, Lorenzo and Austin will know your order, and your dog, after a few visits.
