Apotheos Roastery closed its retail counter. As of late 2025, the Kennesaw operation no longer does walk-in bag sales, even for locals: every order goes through the website and ships, which is a real shift for anyone used to driving over for a Saturday pickup and a quick chat with the roaster. The mobile coffee bar is still running for events, and the roasting work continues at its same pace, but the cafe-style storefront is no longer part of the equation, and the front door is closed to walk-ins. That's the thing to know before you make a trip. Don't make the trip. Order online instead. Jason runs the roasting, and the bean catalog still carries the same weight it did when the counter was open. Colombian and Ethiopia are the workhorses that ship most. The Guatemala holds its own as a third option. The 5-stripe blend is the house all-purpose pour, and a lot of regulars keep it on standing order. The Java holiday blend lands in the seasonal slot and moves quickly when it drops, so set a reminder if you want it. Canned cold brews, including the s'mores release and the Java holiday cold brew, show up on the seasonal lineup as the ready-to-drink option for people who want something easy to grab. If you have a home espresso setup and you're willing to commit to an online ordering rhythm, the catalog is worth working through carefully, because Jason knows what he's doing and the lineup reflects it. If you wanted a Kennesaw cafe to drop into on a weekend morning, this isn't that anymore, and no amount of driving over will change it. Book the mobile bar for an event. Order beans to ship. That's the shape of the operation now, and the bean quality is the reason to bother with the workflow.
