Backlot Coffee

Backlot Coffee is a community coffeehouse with shops in Evanston, Lincoln Square and Old Irving Park, near the Metra. The Old Irving Park café is bright, with local art for sale, a few tables and a community work table, plus wifi and outlets.

The Rose Cardamom Latte and Oatmilk Cookie Latte are favorites, and the cold brew is good. They roast their own beans, and the Mexican single origin has chocolate and fruit notes as drip. Pastries come from local vendors, including Do-Rite Donuts and quiche from PHlour. You can buy beans to take home.
