Bad Rabbit has actual rabbits on site for adoption. That's the differentiator. The cafe and roastery recently moved from Scottdale to a new Perryopolis location, and the move kept the bunnies, the pool table, the arcade game, and the board games. It's the most fully-realized hangout-spot-disguised-as-a-coffee-shop in Western Pennsylvania, and the cafe makes no attempt to hide that.

The interior feels like a log cabin, spacious with tables and couches. A piano player turns up at times. There's a small gift shop up front. The adoptable rabbits live in the back. None of this should work as a single operation, and somehow it does, which is part of what makes a visit so disorienting and entertaining at the same time.

Espresso is the foundation. The vanilla cappuccino and iced caramel latte cover the everyday rotation. On the food side, the Egg Rivera sandwich is the order to lead with, the bacon croissant handles the breakfast call, and the breakfast burrito is the bigger morning option. The large muffins are the pastry. Vegetarian-friendly options work without asking. The staff customize without making it a project.

Hangout groups use this for the games and the long sit, which is where the cafe model bends toward something closer to a third-place destination than a coffee stop. Students and remote workers use the tables. The bunnies handle the kid-attention requirement on family visits, which makes the cafe a viable Saturday-afternoon destination for households that wouldn't normally go anywhere together for a couple of hours.

A couple of customers have flagged a burnt cup or an unfriendly front-of-house moment, which is honest to mention. The reach of the operation, all these elements running at once, means the coffee program doesn't always get the cleanest execution. If you want a no-frills cup, this isn't where to find it. If you want to spend an afternoon playing pool, holding a rabbit, and drinking a vanilla cappuccino, Bad Rabbit is hard to top in this part of Pennsylvania.
