Bald Guy Brew Coffee Roasting Co has roasted organic, Rainforest Alliance certified coffee in Boone since 2004, started by Don Cox. The shop on Old US 421 South has the roaster in the room, vintage gear, a wood stove in the back room and rocking chairs on the porch. There's a big lot and a second shop in Blowing Rock. Ask for a roasting demo.
The pour-over is smooth. The iced latte with hot honey is a favorite. There's breakfast. Beans are roasted to order and ship within 24 hours.
