Baruir's Coffee

Baruir's Coffee on Queens Boulevard has an old brass roaster in the front window. They roast on-site and bag and grind beans to order. Locals call it a Sunnyside institution, and you can often smell it from the sidewalk.

The French Roast Colombian and the house blend are the bags people take home, and there's decaf too. Iced coffee comes with coffee ice cubes so it doesn't get watery. Espresso and cappuccinos are the usual walk-in orders, and seasonal drinks show up on the board. There's a cherry pastry at the counter.

It's a tidy, classic shop without real seating. You come in to grab a coffee or take beans home.
