Bean & Bean Fort Lee

Bean & Bean's Fort Lee café is bright and open, with high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows. The coffee's roasted at their own roastery in Queens. Their site says it's women-powered coffee, chosen by a mother-daughter Q Grader team that's been serving New Yorkers since 2008, and they support women-led farms.

The honey latte with oat milk is a favorite. The pour-overs, which include Kona, and the matcha latte are popular too. Pastries come from Balthazar Bakery, and there are gluten-free treats, chia pudding and avocado toast.

There's seating inside and out, fast wifi and outlets, so students and remote workers use it a lot. Dogs are welcome on the patio. You can buy beans by the pound, up to 5 lb bags. Rio Nights is one of the current house blends.
