Bean Traders

Bean Traders has been in South Durham for more than 20 years. The owner roasts on-site, with single origins and blends, and knows plenty of regulars by name and order.

The Caramello, made with their signature espresso blend, is a local favorite, and the syrups are house-made. The baked goods are made in-house too. Try a bagel with jalapeño cream cheese and cucumber. Pies and scones rotate, including chocolate mousse pie and honey walnut scones.

It's roomy, with lots of indoor seating and covered tables outside. Weekend mornings get busy, but the line moves. You can buy whole beans by the pound.
