Benjamin's Bakery & Cafe

Benjamin's Bakery & Cafe has been a Grand Strand tradition since fall 1994. Founder Lee Zulanch and his father, both former Long Islanders, opened it in Surfside Beach, South Carolina as a New York-style bagel bakery named after Lee's oldest son.

Benjamin's grew to supply local restaurants with breads, rolls and buns. It now bakes fresh breads and pastries and roasts its own coffee daily, and the cafe is open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. It sells online and supplies wholesale customers.
