Customers used to driving down to San Diego for the original locations were openly happy a closer one finally landed. Now they show up early. They stay late. The shop opens before sunrise and runs well into the evening, which is what makes it a default study spot for CSUF students with outlets and outdoor seating to spread out on.

The staff get repeat mentions as a breath of fresh air from other chains. The drive-thru moves. The menu rewards people who know what to ask for. The Pistachio (or its cinnamon-pistachio variant) is the headline. The matcha latte takes a chai add-in well. Off the food menu, the Banana Crunch bowl, the better breakfast sandwich, and the avocado toast all get named in regular rotation, which is more food specificity than most chain coffee shops can muster.
