Big Mouth Coffee Roasters

Big Mouth's Newburgh shop is in an old service station garage, with a coffee bar inside and a roll-up door that opens in warm weather. They roast on-site here, and there's a bigger indoor location in Beacon. Their site says they source and roast specialty coffee in the Hudson Valley.

The Banana Foster latte is the signature drink. The cappuccino with macadamia nut milk has silky foam, the medium roast drinks well black, and the chai isn't too sweet. One Portland transplant said it beats most of what NYC has to offer.

In warm months, the garage door opens and the whole place becomes indoor-outdoor. There are comfortable tables if you've got a laptop. The Newburgh room is small, so on cold days the Beacon shop has more indoor space. Both serve the same coffee.
