Black Mountain Coffee Roasting is run by Chris and family in a basement unit on North Circle Drive in Idyllwild. The sign is hard to spot. It's small and rustic inside, and most people sit at the shaded picnic tables on the dog-friendly patio. PCT hikers often stop in. Cups are reusable, and prices are on the higher side. They don't serve iced espresso.

The Rustic Cabin Blend pour-over is the house signature. Try the Colombia Amigos or the Vietnamese medium roast as pour-overs, or nitro cold brew on a hot day. You can book a coffee tasting.
