Blind Dog is the kind of family operation where the package shows up with a handwritten thank-you note, which tells you most of what you need to know about how they treat customers. The Gardnerville roastery ships nationally, and a lot of buyers find it the same way: a bag spotted at a small store near Great Basin National Park, or on a shelf at a Reno-area reseller, followed by a direct order once they figured out who roasted it.

The house style runs dark. Nevada Black is the flagship, the Italian Roast is uncompromising, and the French Roast sits in between for people who want depth without going fully into char. Tanner's House Blend is the everyday pour. The espresso beans hold up under pressure, and the cold brew blend is built for the application rather than retrofitted from a drip recipe.

There is no cafe to walk into, so do not plan a road trip around it. This is mail order and subscription, full stop.
