Blue Sparrow Coffee

Blue Sparrow's Sherman St shop in Denver is bright and modern, full of plants and coffee-table books. There's gold-accented seating, upholstered chairs, booths, big tables and leather couches. Regulars say it reminds them of Mexico City or Bogotá. Their site says they now roast their own coffee too, as Blue Sparrow Coffee Roasters.

Nitro coffee and the oat vanilla latte are the drinks people order most, and the espresso is good on its own. Pastries are made locally, and there's coffee-themed merch by the door. Flavored lattes with alt milk and the pastries are on the pricier side.

It's a great place to work, with fast free wifi, plenty of outlets and lots of seating until the weekend brunch crowd arrives. There's outdoor seating too. Parking is on the street and fills up at peak times. They offer a subscription.
