Boone Creek Creamery is a Kentucky Proud cheesemaker on Palumbo Drive in Lexington. It sells coffee from other local makers, but cheese is the focus. A window looks into the cheese room. The guided tour has samples and is accessible.

Sassy Redhead is the favorite cheese. There's sharp cheddar, fresh mozzarella and a strawberry cheese. Flavored butters come in cinnamon, garlic, honey and salt-free. There's fudge too.
