Cape Cod Coffee

This place is more restaurant than coffee shop. The full bar runs all day, the kitchen serves an all-day lunch and dinner menu past most coffee shops' close, and the lawn outside has fire pits and lawn games for the summer crowd. Cape Cod Coffee roasts coffee on site (Tuesday and Thursday roaster tours are real), but the coffee is the on-ramp to a place built for a different kind of visit altogether.

Two Mashpee locations (Rte 130 and Mashpee Commons) share the same identity. Executive Chef Eric runs the kitchen. Event coordinator Lisa McGrath books the 50-plus private gatherings that include 60th birthdays and bridal parties. The food lineup runs broad. Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. Lobster mac and cheese. Beef barbacoa sandwich. Bisque, nachos, wings. The fire-oven scramble gets less love than the rest.

On the coffee side, the caramel latte is the standing morning order, the hazelnut cold brew rides through summer, and the espresso martini comes out after dinner once the bar is going. The oatmeal raisin cookie pairs with both ends of the day.

The room shifts with the season. Cozy in winter, with the kitchen running late and the bar full. Lively in summer, with the patio open, fire pits going, music bingo on event nights, and live music spilling onto the lawn. Kitchen closes at 8pm even when the bar stays open.

A few honest catches. The parking lot is small and fills up, with overflow ending up on the grass. Food has been called pretty average by some, with the fire-oven scramble drawing specific complaints. The digital tipping prompt has annoyed a few customers.

Cape Cod families and year-round Mashpee locals make up the regular base. Large event groups book the room for celebrations. Dog owners gravitate to the patio. Quiet study spots exist. This is not one of them.
