About Carrier Roasting Co.
Carrier Roasting Co. started in 2015 when friends Scott Kerner and Ross Evans began roasting in a barn in Northfield, Vermont, using a community-supported agriculture (CSA) model. In 2017 they were joined by Matt Borg, formerly production roaster at Handsome Coffee in California.
Carrier treats coffee as a craft food and focuses on transparent relationships with producers. It roasts in rural Northfield, runs cafes including one in Burlington, and sells coffee online and through subscriptions and wholesale.
