Charlotte Street Coffee Roasters

Charlotte Street Coffee Roasters is in a walkable part of historic Pottstown, and owner Anthony has set it up like a big living room, with rag rugs, Persian-style rugs and mismatched reclaimed furniture. People often say it feels like breakfast at grandma's. They roast single-origin coffee from around the world in-house.

The bakery is entirely vegan, though nothing's labeled that way. You'll find apple cider cupcakes, a Boston cream donut, a strawberry crumb donut and a sticky bun the staff will tell you to warm for thirty seconds. To drink, there's ceremonial matcha, Holy Kakao chai, a London Fog, and pour-overs if you want to taste the roast on its own. Breakfast sandwiches cover the savory side.

The music's quiet, the wifi works and there's plenty of room, so students and remote workers settle in. Parking nearby can be tight, but there's a lot close by and spots across the street.
