Chemn Cafe, a coffee shop

Chemn Cafe is on Main Street in downtown Elgin. It's full of plants and repurposed art, with a take-and-leave library, games, toys for toddlers, live music and story times. A wine bar pours margaritas at night. It can get warm in summer.

Try the cardamom banana latte or the Elginite with oat milk. There's a lavender honey latte, seasonal pumpkin and peppermint drinks and breakfast sandwiches. Pastries come from H-E-B.
