Coffee Del Rey

Coffee Del Rey is a small, family-owned roastery in Plano. It's mainly a roastery with a small retail counter, not a hang-out café. There's a counter with stools and a bench, plenty of plants and lots of natural light. Come in to grab a coffee and buy beans, not to work for the afternoon.

Everything's roasted on-site, and the bags are stamped with the roast date. You'll usually find beans roasted that same week. They keep a rotating set of single origins and blends. Promise Land is the blend regulars keep buying, and people say the decaf tastes like the real thing.

If you want to see how it's done, they run roastery tours on Monday and Friday mornings.

You can buy whole beans at the shop, or order online and have them shipped. Some customers get regular deliveries as far away as California.
