Juno's, formerly Coffee Hub and Cafe, sits a few minutes from the San Diego airport on Shelter Island Drive. Same coffee-and-brunch program as before, now with evening dinner service and live-music nights on the calendar. The crossover from morning cafe to evening dining room is unusual and it mostly works, because the kitchen is run by a chef rather than a coffee operator stretching into food.

Mornings are calm. Cortado, lavender latte, lox bagel with tomatoes and avocado, caprese toast with fried eggs on top, shakshuka in a small cast-iron pan. The kind of menu you want before a flight or after dropping someone off. Pre-flight stops are a real use case here, given how close the airport is, and the timing usually works in your favor at that hour.

The space is small with comfortable indoor seating and a quiet outdoor patio. Calm enough for paperwork in the morning. Leash clips on the patio for dogs, which extends the morning crowd to walkers and runners coming off the waterfront. By evening the lights drop, the tempo shifts, and an executive chef-driven dinner menu takes over. Mushroom ravioli. French onion soup. The transition from coffee shop to dinner spot in the same room happens more cleanly than you would expect from a place that pulled it off as an expansion rather than a rebuild.

The live-music nights are worth checking the calendar for if you want the dinner visit to do double duty. The room handles it, and the volume sits at a level that does not blow out the table conversation.

Parking in the shopping center can get tight, particularly on weekend mornings when the brunch line stacks up. Plan to circle once or twice. Otherwise the calculus is simple: pre-flight stop in the morning, brunch on the weekend, dinner if the live-music night lines up with your visit, and pup-cup-on-the-patio whenever you are walking the area.
