Olga and James know the regulars by name. Coffee Latitudes is their cafe and roastery in north Tampa, and the husband-and-wife team roast on-site, source their own beans, and tend to be at the counter more often than not. One of their coffees, a Colombian called Wush-Wush, finished second in an international coffee competition, and they'll happily walk you through why if you ask. The room is small and quiet, an old-bar feel with soft background music and an atmosphere that rewards a sit-down visit over a grab-and-go. Indoors only. No patio. That's not a flaw so much as a clarification of what kind of cafe this is and who it's built for. The food program is the second axis of the operation. Bagels shipped in from New York and French croissants set the bar higher than most Tampa coffee shops bother to set theirs, and the Italian-style avocado toast doesn't try to impersonate the California version. Cafe con leche and cortados are the espresso drinks the regulars order most. The Wush-Wush Colombian and the Peru single-origin are the bags worth taking home. Chocolate chip muffins move fast in the morning. NY bagel sandwiches anchor the lunch side. The shop is laptop-friendly in a way that a lot of neighborhood cafes aren't. Outlets near tables. The crowd skews toward Cuban and Latin coffee drinkers, bean shoppers, and people who want to talk to the person who roasted what's in their cup. If you want to do that conversation in Tampa, this is one of the few places where it's the default rather than the exception.
