Cortados are tight and balanced. Order a flat white off-menu if that's your thing, since the staff are happy to make one without making a production of it. The matcha latte holds its own. Scones rotate through the case. The vibe is small-town Maine plus a steady current of National Park traffic, which means weekends move quickly but the baristas still take a minute to chat about which loop is worth the drive and which one is going to be packed by noon. There's no interior to linger in. That's fine. The point is to grab something good, eat it outside under the trees, and be on the trail by ten. If you want a sit-down cafe, look elsewhere in town. If you're heading into Acadia, this is the stop on the way in or back out. The barista who pointed you toward the right trailhead remembers what you ordered last time too.
