Contrabean Roasting Company

Contrabean Roasting Company is a craft roaster in Kitchener, Ontario specializing in fresh, small-batch, single-origin coffee. The business grew out of its founder's home roasting, which started on a small hot-air roaster before moving to a larger machine.

Contrabean sources through a handful of importers who buy direct from farms and co-ops, and it has started building its own direct-trade relationships with growers. Coffee is sold online with subscriptions, local pickup and delivery.
