The old letterpresses on display were once used to stamp DOMA's original paper coffee bags. That's the kind of history this Post Falls roastery wears in the open, distinct from the company's busier cafe down by the river in Coeur d'Alene. This is the workshop side of the operation. Vinyl spins on the turntable, the couches are comfy, and the shelves are loaded with espresso machines, kettles, drippers, and bags of beans you can take home.

The vibe runs calmer than the river-front location. You're more likely to find someone reading a tasting note than rushing through a takeaway order. Drip pours a soft floral Ethiopian when it's on rotation, which is the move if you want to taste what these roasters care about. The espresso lineup shifts with whatever they're roasting that week, so the espresso drinks vary in character depending on the bean up. Staff are happy to walk you through the difference if you ask.

The retail wall is the other reason to make the drive. Pourover gear, grinders, scales, and a deep cross-section of brewing tools sit next to the beans, and the prices stay reasonable for the level of equipment. Home brewers who don't want to mail-order a V60 setup tend to leave with bags under both arms.

Wifi and outlets don't get mentioned much by regulars, which is a tell. This is a place to shop, taste, and talk coffee with people who roast for a living, not to camp out and answer emails. Show up curious, bring questions about origin or roast curve, and you'll get real answers. The letterpresses, the records, the calm: it all reads as a brand at home in its own roastery rather than performing for tourists. Pick up a bag of the Ethiopian on your way out. The fact that the roastery is its own room, not just the back office of the cafe, is the structural point.
