Driftaway Coffee

Driftaway Coffee was a mail-order subscription roaster for over ten years, run by Anu Menon and Suyog Mody. Now there's a tasting room in their East Williamsburg space, across from Brooklyn Steel. It's open weekends only, and coffee is pay-what-you-want. A skylight lights the white brick, and there's wood riser seating and a pink-tiled pour-over bar.

Book a tasting flight ($30 or $35), like omakase for coffee, or walk in for a pour-over. Ask about the peach cobbler pour-over with passion fruit, lychee and cherry notes. They focus on women and minority producers.
