East Indies used to have a retail shop. It doesn't anymore. After the original owner's death the storefront on Keystone Drive in Lebanon, Pennsylvania closed, and the building now runs as a warehouse-only operation. A narrow set of best-seller teas is still sold in person if you make it through the door. Multiple customers report driving over expecting a retail experience and leaving without what they came for.
What does work, and works well, is the mail order. Snickerdoodle coffee and Hawaiian Hazelnut are the two flavored bags long-time customers reorder, and the loyalty around both predates the storefront closure by years. The tea side carries selections the company has been procuring and packaging for a long time. The operation behind the warehouse still ships, and the catalog that built the brand is still the catalog that gets sent out.
The honest summary is straightforward. If you want flavored coffees and specialty teas shipped to your door, especially the named Snickerdoodle and Hawaiian Hazelnut, East Indies is still doing what made it worth buying from in the first place. If you're driving over to walk a retail floor and pick out a bag in person, don't. The trip ends at a warehouse with a narrow tea shelf, and you'd be better served by the website.
