Fika Coffee

Fika Coffee is a roaster and coffee shop on Minnesota's North Shore, in Lutsen. It's named for the Swedish habit of slowing down over coffee. The space is small and Scandinavian-style, with clean lines and natural materials, and there are just a few tables and barstools. Most people grab a drink on their way out for the day. There's wifi if you need to catch up on work.

They roast on-site, right behind the counter. The North Shore Blend is the house coffee. The drink people mention most is the maple latte, made with local syrup, and the cardamom-spiced drinks are popular too. The 740 Estate coffee with oat milk is another regular favorite, and the espresso drinks are well made.

You can buy whole beans in the shop or order them online for shipping. A lot of visitors stock up on their way through, and others just reorder online.
