Fire Dept. Coffee

Fire Dept. Coffee is a veteran-owned, firefighter-run roaster in Rockford, and it gives back to first responders. Ten percent of proceeds go to injured first responders and their families. There's a warehouse store, but most people order online.

They roast on-site. Donut Shop and Backdraft Espresso are favorites, and the medium roast isn't over-roasted. The spirit-infused line includes Black Cherry Bourbon and Salted Caramel Bourbon. They sell whole bean, ground and K-cups. The subscription earns points toward merch, 5-pound bags often go on sale, and orders come with stickers.
