Flying M Coffeeshop is in historic downtown Caldwell, with outdoor seating overlooking Indian Creek Plaza. It's quirky, with couches, booths, tables, psychedelic art and plants. There's free wifi and outlets, a gift shop corner, board games, a kids' area, a community fridge and a winter coat drive. It's open seven days, with order ahead. Parking can be tight.

The coffee is locally roasted and smooth. The house-made chai and the vanilla breve are favorites. Pastries are made from scratch, with vegan and wheat-free options.
