Don't approach Fox Holler on foot. The dine-in is closed, the building isn't built for walk-ups, and customers consistently say the staff would rather you stay in your car. This is a drive-thru-only Effingham operation, and the line can stretch long enough to test your patience.
What keeps people coming back is the in-house roasted beans (the Mexican light roast gets singled out), the breakfast bagels and sandwiches, and a pup cup tradition for anyone bringing a dog along for the morning errand. The pistachio latte with an extra shot is the order regulars name. A club sandwich on a Hawaiian bun for lunch. Beans to take home if you want to brew the Mexican light roast at your own kitchen counter.
It suits drivers, commuters, and dog owners. It does not suit anyone hoping to sit, work, or walk up. Know that before you pull into the lot, and the Fox Holler experience makes sense. Show up on foot looking for a cafe, and you'll be confused.
