Genteel Coffee Roasters

Genteel Coffee Roasters is in North Park. It's bright and minimal, with hanging plants, wooden shelves and big front windows. Indoor seating's limited, but there's a plant-filled private alley out back with umbrellas.

The Foxtrot Latte is the signature, made with a house syrup of cardamom, cinnamon and orange. The espresso's very good, and they take care with the matcha. There are fresh pastries at the counter. The baristas are happy to help you find a drink you'll like, whether you're into coffee or just stopping by.

They roast their own beans, which you can buy online or by subscription. There's merch too: hoodies, hats, tumblers and tote bags.
