About Gravel City Roasters
Gravel City Roasters is a coffee shop in Emporia, Kansas that roasts its own beans in-house. Its roots go back to Java Cat 5, owned by Scott Bolley from 2002.
Owner Joe Corn moved to Emporia from Tahlequah, Oklahoma in 2010 with his wife Clara. He started working at Gravel City in 2015, became manager in 2020 and owner in 2023. The shop moved to 715 Commercial St. in 2021.
