Heavenly Hawaiian Kona Coffee Farm Tours

Heavenly Hawaiian is a working 100% Kona coffee farm at about 2,000 feet on the slopes of Hualālai, looking out over the Kona coast. The visitor center has a wraparound lanai where you can sit with samples and take in the view. The grounds are full of coffee trees, fruit trees and flowers, and the farm cats often tag along on tours.

The farm tour runs about 90 minutes. It covers growing, processing and roasting, plus some of the area's volcanic geology and history. You'll see the whole process, from cherry to cup, including the roasting. If you want to try it yourself, the Paniolo roasting class teaches traditional Hawaiian cowboy-style roasting.

Tastings are unlimited. Kona Bright and Fire Roast are two of the house roasts. The shop sells beans, chocolate-covered macadamia nuts and other local treats, and there's outdoor seating to enjoy them. Drop-ins are welcome, but it's a good idea to book a tour ahead.
