Hidden House Coffee - San Juan Capistrano

Hidden House Coffee is an Orange County specialty roaster. Its San Juan Capistrano shop is in a yellow 120-year-old house in the Los Rios Historic District, near the train station. There's cozy seating inside, but most people head out to the picnic tables under big trees.

They roast light and in-house, with rotating single origins that always include an Ethiopian. Espresso, pour-over and cold brew are all good, and the strawberry matcha latte is popular. There's kombucha on tap too. Their own pastry chef makes the pastries. The chocolate chip cookies have a caramel note, and the "bagel bombs" have fans.

You can buy bags of beans, and each one comes with a free drink. They offer a subscription as well.
