Hidden House Coffee is an Orange County roaster in a brick building in Santa Ana, and the roaster sits right by the entrance where you can watch it. It's industrial but cozy, with individual tables, bar seating and communal tables. Out back, there's a big patio shaded by mature trees. There's free wifi and plenty of outlets, and it gets busy at peak times.

They roast light to medium. The cappuccinos are silky, and the house-made pistachio latte is a seasonal favorite. Pastries are baked fresh every day. The almond croissants and "bagel bombs" are the ones to grab.

The beans rotate, with single origins and signature blends, and if you buy a bag you'll often get a free cold brew.
