About

Converted from an old Jug's tavern. Imprint Coffee in Sodus runs a drive-thru and roastery out of the former bar, with a seasonal truck operation at the Point in Sodus Point during the warm months that pulls in the lake traffic. Owners Trevor and Christina are active in the community, the roaster has been expanded recently to keep up with demand, and baked goods come out from scratch daily.

The room is friendly and relaxed in the sweet small-shop sense, which is what tavern conversions can earn when they keep the bones and update the program around them. The tavern lineage shows in the proportions of the space and the warmth of the wood, even with the bar swapped out for an espresso machine and a pastry case. Sodus is rural enough that this kind of operation matters disproportionately to the daily routines of the people who live nearby.

Order the smores cold brew for the signature cold drink. The pumpkin pie latte is the fall seasonal worth showing up for. An oat milk espresso latte covers the standard lane cleanly. The honey bunny latte in spring is the seasonal counterpart to the pumpkin pie. Breakfast foods at the window handle the morning commute. The Guatemalan dark roast subscription runs four pounds a month for the beans-by-mail crowd, which is the way to keep Imprint in the rotation if you do not live within drive-thru range. Pup cup at the drive-thru for the dog in the back seat.

Two honest notes before you plan a visit. No dine-in seating per recent reviews, so plan on the drive-thru or the truck at the Point. An undisclosed price increase has been flagged by regulars who noticed it without warning, which is the kind of communication misstep that lingers in a small town. Locals in rural Sodus, drive-thru regulars, mail subscribers, and dog owners hitting the window keep this running. Rochester is thirty minutes away for anyone tempted to make the drive on a weekend.
