Jedidiah Coffee

Jedidiah Coffee is a small, family-run shop on N Coast Hwy, about a minute's walk from Heisler Park and the ocean. The Devyn Matcha is named for the staffer who came up with it: iced matcha with pistachio milk, vanilla, honey and cinnamon. It's been on the menu ever since.

The other matcha to try is vanilla with pistachio milk and brown butter cold foam. The vanilla latte, chai latte and almond cappuccino round things out. In the pastry case, look for the cinnamon twist, cinnamon cheesecake danish, Nutella croissant and bacon cheese scone. They do sell out.

The room's small, with a few seating corners inside and a patio out front. PCH traffic makes it a bit noisy, but it's relaxed. Dogs get water and treats, there's sometimes live music on the patio, and kittens have shown up a time or two. Parking near the beach can take a minute. A lot of people grab a drink and take it to a bench in Heisler Park.
