🔥 Roasts In-House Has Café

About

JuJu's closes every Tuesday to roast. That alone tells you how seriously the owner takes the beans, and it is the right starting point for a tiny owner-run shop in Dallas's Old East neighborhood that hits its three-year mark in 2026.

The room is small. Pink floors, retro-leaning interior, a few tables, and the compact footprint is part of the design. The shop fills up quickly. There is no bathroom. None. If that matters to you, plan around it before you order.

The coffee work is the reason this place has its following. East Dallas Blend is the house roast, available by the bag. The Do Si Do is the viral peanut butter latte that put JuJu's on social media for the first time, and the Neapolitan and Otis lattes are the lineup that keep regulars rotating. Ceremonial-grade matcha (yugen, kiwami) is on the menu, prepared with the care those grades deserve. The oat milk is housemade. The syrups are housemade. The Top Banana drink, the houjicha matcha, the beekeeper latte, and the ube latte all sit in the second tier of orders that customers work through visit by visit.

Dogs are welcome in a way most shops do not match. Pup cups come unprompted.

The waits are the catch, and they are not small. Fifteen minutes for a latte during the busy stretch is normal. Parking is limited. This is not the cafe for the customer who wants to be in and out, and it is not the cafe for the customer who wants to camp out either.

It is the cafe for the customer who came specifically for what JuJu is making, who has a dog or does not, and who is fine waiting because the drink is the point. Order the Do Si Do once. Grab a bag of East Dallas Blend on the way out, and pull it as espresso at home.
