About

One hundred percent of Just Coffee Cooperative's beans are fair trade. Not a token percentage, not a flagship line surrounded by conventional bags. The whole shelf. The Madison, Wisconsin operation is worker-owned and runs out of Orin Road, and the commitment to fair-trade across the entire line is the structural choice that separates them from larger roasters who use the certification as a selective marketing layer.

The lineup is built for grocery distribution and direct shipping rather than counter service. Revolution Roast and La Luz are the named blends regulars reach for. Ride On and Bike Fuel cover the cycling-oriented bag names that fit the Madison crowd. Decaf Lite is the answer for decaf drinkers who keep getting stuck with bad options elsewhere, and a quality fair-trade decaf is rarer than it should be. Dark-roast whole bean covers the rest.

Distribution runs national. H-E-B in Texas carries the line, Sugar Beet coop in Illinois carries it, and direct shipping from Orin Road handles the rest. The reach is a deliberate choice that lets a small Wisconsin cooperative supply customers in places that don't have access to a comparable local equivalent.

The Madison address functions as a working roastery, not a drop-in counter. The buying experience is the grocery aisle or the website. For customers who care that the entire line carries the certification, not just the prettiest-labeled bags, Just Coffee earns the loyalty without needing a storefront. The worker-owned structure is the additional layer. If both matter to you, the bag becomes an easy regular. If not, the dark-roast whole bean is where to start on flavor alone.
