Kazkara Coffee Roasters

Kazkara Coffee Roasters is a small roaster on John R Road in Hazel Park, and the owner is usually around to talk coffee. Inside, there's a little bar seating. The big draw is the patio, with string lights and a view of a community sculpture. Dogs are welcome inside too.

The banana latte is the house favorite. The pour-over beans rotate, so there's always something new to try, and there's a cortado, iced chai, cappuccino and espresso. The bar's happy to make custom lattes.

It's best for a patio visit rather than a long laptop session.
