About

About La Coop Coffee

La Coop Coffee was founded by Juan Luis to source coffee directly from ASOCUC, a smallholder cooperative in Union Cantinil, Guatemala, and eventually other cooperatives, paying producers the fairest possible price. ASOCUC's members now produce more than 200,000 lbs of specialty coffee a year.

La Coop roasts its Guatemalan single-origin coffee several times a week. It started as a vendor at the Lubber Run Farmers Market and opened its first Arlington, Virginia cafe in February 2023. It offers subscriptions and wholesale.
