LaShaw Ranch (formerly Tom Sawyer Country Coffee, originally out of Spokane) relocated to Rockford, WA under new ownership and built the room around the roaster. Light industrial interior. Walls decorated with vintage coffee tins, old packages, antique grinders, coffee pots from another era. A large garage door rolls up in good weather and opens the cafe onto the patio.

Both the drip variety and the original menu run as flights, so a first visit can cover several beans without committing to a single order. The Viking Dark blend is the big seller and the bag most first-time customers leave with. Blondie, a praised darker roast, has its own following among regulars who do not want a light roast and do not want bitter, which is a more crowded preference than the specialty world tends to acknowledge.
