Cold brew is the only drink Living Room Roasters pours on-site. Everything else is whole bean, ground to order, sold to take home with you. Haley and Allen run the corner shop in Toccoa, Georgia, and they roast in-house. The space is small, cute, and built around the owners, who are the people you'll meet behind the counter and the people who'll walk you through the bean shelf if you ask.
The atmosphere is the kind of inviting that comes from a husband-and-wife operation rather than a corporate design package. It's a corner spot for sitting, sipping, and socializing, with one drink to drink and a wall of beans to take home. Go for the cold brew. Then buy a bag of the light roast Sumatra or the light roast Costa Rica. Subscribers get a 12 oz bag weekly, which is the loop the shop is designed around. Gluten-free and vegan options sit on the counter, and the owners know enough about brewing to send you home with the right gear if you don't already have it.
The honest catch is the hours. They aren't always reliable. At least one regular has docked the shop a star for showing up to a closed door, and if you're driving in from out of town the smart move is to call ahead. Espresso drinks are not on the bar. If you want a barista pulling shots and steaming milk, you want somewhere else in Toccoa.
If you want cold brew on tap, freshly roasted beans ground while you wait, a weekly subscription you can set and forget, and a small corner space where the people who own the place are the people who hand you the drink, this is exactly the kind of shop worth keeping in your local rotation. The hours add a little friction to the math. Most regulars have decided the friction is worth it.
