Martha & Bros. Coffee Co.

Martha & Bros. Coffee Co., or just Martha's, is a neighborhood café in Bernal Heights. It opens as early as 5am. There's seating inside and out, big windows and reliable wifi, and it draws knitting clubs, students and locals. Martha, in her 70s, still works the counter sometimes, and the baristas might greet you with "hello, love."

The espresso is a rich, dark roast. The Americano with hot milk is a favorite. Try the lavender oat matcha latte, crème brûlée latte or frozen Mexican chocolate. The carrot bread and banana chocolate bread are house-made, and the deluxe bagel with avocado is popular.
