Mauka Meadows Coffee Farm

Mauka Meadows Coffee Farm in Holualoa is a working Kona coffee farm and botanical garden. Admission is $5, and kids under 15 are free. It's a self-guided walk down steep paved paths through fruit trees, flowers and coffee, with an infinity pool overlooking the valley and ocean. A shuttle runs back up every 30 minutes. Wear sturdy shoes. Japanese-speaking staff are on hand, and the farm dog is named Lucida.

The beans are picked when ripe and roasted on-site. At the top, the gift shop offers free Kona coffee samples and sells tangelo, passion fruit, star fruit, macadamia nuts and chocolate-covered coffee beans. Outside food isn't allowed.
